Vintage "Patons' Boot & Shoe Laces"
3 Drawer Shop Display Cabinet.
This wonderful three drawer "Patons' Boot & Shoe Laces" shop display cabinet would have sat on a shop counter, full of different styles of laces.
"Paton's" were a Scottish company based at Johnstone Mill, Johnstone, Scotland.
This delightful cabinet has gold coloured lettering to the three drawers, this has faded and dulled over the years, but is still legible.
The fabulous pictures of a snake charmer and a lace to either end are for the most part intact with a good colour.
Each drawer has its' internal dividers, the front of each section have their paper price labels.
The drawers have brass drop handles all are present and well attached.
The drawers slide in and out well.
The wood has gained a fabulous depth of colour and patina over the years, however, there are the marks, scratches, stains and scuffs to the cabinet, that you would expect from a well used item of this age. I have tried to show the condition in the photographs.
All in all, this lovely cabinet will have very many more years of service left to give.
It measures 37 cm (14 1/2 inches) wide, 24.5 cm (9 1/2 inches) deep and stands 26 cm (10 1/4 inches) tall.
