This card catalog bureau was acquired from a local library and is in really nice condition for it's time period. It has not been restored or any other attempt to refinish it since I obtained it from the library, it has just been wiped down after being in covered storage. The top has some finish discoloration/fading (maybe water from a plant on top right corner?) and a few minor scratches. The rest of the pieces look really nice and have typical public use wear (see all photos). The 45 drawers all slide smoothly, they are all wood with brass hardware w/label spaces, dovetailed joints and the metal sliding card adjusters (2 different colors) all work fine. The drawers do not have the knobs/rods that go through the card centers and 2 of drawer faces have minor splits. Each middle section has 2 slide out shelves for drawer placement or writing and look/function great. The stand is strong, stable and easily supports the entire unit. You can configure/stack these pieces to your liking, they align and fit together nicely.
