A quality vintage chesterfield oxblood leather swivel office desk chair/captains chair.   The chair has a shaped top rail with buttoned and studded finish in oxblood leather.  The arms sweep around and are also upholstered in oxblood leather with a studded finish.  The moulded frame is solid mahogany with lovely turned mahogany baluster supports.  The 25 inch wide seat although free from buttons is upholstered in oxblood leather with a serpentine front  and shaped apron to the front with studded finish. There is a central steel threaded shaft with ring adjustment  for height and a large shaped knob/handle with spring which allows adjustment of the tension in lean.  There are 5 out swept solid mahogany legs with tramline mouldings and fitted castors. There are some minor  surface marks and scuffs in places with some marks, stains and discolouration in places and some very minor  crackling to the front of the seat where leather has dried over time. There are no holes or tears to the leather.  There is some fading to the arms and some scuffs and scratches to the mahogany frame and legs but overall  the chair is nice condition. The mechanism and height adjustment work fine and the chair swivels smoothly 360  degrees. The chair has a classic look and the combination of leather and mahogany looks very smart. Ideal for  a traditional home or office interior. Seat height is currently set at 19.5 inches and arms height from  floor is 28.5 inches. PRICETAG: $350.00
